Dynavics Spain are celebrate Kings Day whilst supporting children’s charity, as part of corporate social responsibility efforts.
You may remember back in December our Dynavics UK office were busy collating gifts for local children’s charities, ensuring every child received a gift at Christmas. Well, our Dynavics Spanish office have been busy supporting CAP NEN SENSE JOGUINA on Kings Day.
What is Kings Day?
On the evening of January 5th every year, Spanish towns and cities are given over to the colourful parades of the Dia de los Reyes, or the Kings’ Day – a celebration of the arrival of the three wise men in Bethlehem after Jesus’ birth. Sometimes referred to as Spain’s “Second Christmas”, Dia de los Reyes is a time for presents
Tonight (5th January) is when the 3 wise man will visit all Spanish kids and give them presents and toys or coal(sweet coal) if they have been naughty.
Cap Nen Sense Joguina
For more than 50 years, Cap Nen Sense Joguna has focused its efforts on making the dreams of children in refuge or care in Barcelona.
During the afternoon the radio station will also be auctioning some stuff received from famous people to raise more money to buy more toys, which will be added to their collected donations.
Donations from the team
In total, the team raised a 150€ in gifts, as well as a further 100€ donated from the company. Head of Development, Lluis and his family headed to the charity to deliver gifts ahead of the parade – to ensure children who otherwise might not get a gift, receive a present and can enjoy the celebrations!
