On Wednesday 16th March, a few of the Dynavics team took part in the first Action Day of 2022.
One of the great things about being a member of CMPP (Community Matters Partnership Program) is being able to attend community action days and help out at places that need it most! So, when we found out that CMPP were looking for volunteers for their latest project, we couldn’t wait to get involved… despite the weather!
Butterflies pre-school recently lost their premises and had to relocate to the local Scout Hut. However, Natalie from Butterflies preschool approached CMPP, looking for ambitious and energetic volunteers to help make the outdoor area a safe place for the children.
Our eager and ready volunteers included…
- Daniel Jones, Co-Founder and Managing Director
- Louise Woodruff, Communications Officer
- Weronika Bondaruk, Junior Support Consultant
- Kostas Mentzelopoulos, NAV/Business Central Developer
- Bryden Smith, Support Developer
As well as working alongside the lovely Rachel and Rachel from CMPP, a couple of volunteers from the Aviator Hotel, Farnborough, came along to help make a difference!
What the team got up to…
Our dedicated team of ready and willing volunteers took on a number of tasks to help improve the outdoor areas for the preschool, including:
- Clearing stinging nettles from the nearby fences
- Digging and creating a flower bed
- Laying pavement slabs from the hut and equipment sheds
- Creating a border for play area
- General tidy up
Even with the weather very much against us, the Dynavics team were determined to make a difference and complete jobs to the best of their ability. Natalie and the Preschool couldn’t have been more appreciative of the work carried out.
Natalie from Butterflies Preschool:
“Your dedication to helping us today was truly wonderful and appreciated more than you may know…
Thank you isn’t enough, your help with your wonderful team in such awful weather was amazing. I work as a volunteer and appreciate what goes into it when you work on things in challenging environments with challenging conditions!
We welcome anyone back anytime too and will ensure now I know what is needed, that we will have everything in ready too!”
