Technical Sales Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Technical Sales Manager to support our sales team by showcasing the technical and functional capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to prospective/existing clients. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the sales, product, and implementation teams to understand customer requirements, craft tailored solutions and deliver compelling demonstrations of the platform’s potential.

The Role
You will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through their digital transformation journey by aligning Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central’s features to meet business goals. This role will also involve generating pre-sales content such as product videos, whitepapers, case studies, and interactive demos to enhance the sales experience.
Solution Design:
- Analyse client requirements through discovery, identifying challenges, and recommending Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions.
- Offer technical advice through consultations and webinars, ensuring clear communication of the system’s capabilities.
- Assist in creating digitally accessible solution designs, architecture documents, and technical proposals for client engagements.
Technical Presentations & Demos:
- Build and manage efficient and fully equipped Demo environments.
- Act as a trusted Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central advisor, understanding client pain points and tailoring solutions that drive digital transformation through engaging product demonstrations.
- Manage and lead proof of concepts or pilot projects, demonstrating Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central’s value in solving client challenges.
Content Creation:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop pre-sales content such as:
- Pre-recorded product demo videos.
- Interactive solution walkthroughs and product tours.
- Whitepapers and technical guides.
- Use cases and success stories that resonate with specific industries.
- Partner with marketing team to create and execute digital pre-sales campaigns, ensuring alignment between the technical message and the customer journey.
Sales Tools & Analytics:
- Utilize digital sales tools (e.g., CRM systems, digital engagement platforms) to track and measure client engagement with pre-sales content and demos.
- Provide insights to the sales team on which digital assets drive customer interest and decision-making.
- Stay current on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central product updates, industry trends, and competitor capabilities, ensuring a competitive digital presence in the marketplace.
Strategy:
- Influence the company’s expansion by identifying high-value Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central opportunities and helping to close key deals.
- Identify new industry verticals and regions where the company’s Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions can gain traction and increase market share.
- Help shorten sales cycles by effectively addressing objections, demonstrating ROI, and ensuring alignment with customer needs.
- Gather insights from customer interactions and relay them to product teams to enhance Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central offerings and maintain competitive advantage.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and webinars, positioning the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solution as a market leader.
- Develop scalable pre-sales methodologies to improve efficiency, win rates, and overall customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in pre-sales within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central application.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central including consulting, configuration, customisation and implementation.
Experience in LS Retail/LS Central would be highly advantageous.
Wider Microsoft eco-system and other complimentary 3rd-party software experience would be beneficial (e.g. Power Platform, Continia, Tasklet, etc.)
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to solve complex client issues and recommend effective digital solutions.
